A Shravan yatra built for the devout — five Jyotirlingas in a single road pilgrimage from Mumbai, from the forest shrine of Bhimashankar and the source of the Godavari at Trimbakeshwar, through Grishneshwar beside the Ellora caves, up into Madhya Pradesh for Omkareshwar on its island in the Narmada, and finally Mahakaleshwar at Ujjain, one of the most powerful shrines in the land. It's a driving-intensive route through the holiest month of the year, timed so the miles carry meaning. We handle the road; you keep the vigil.
Day 1: Mumbai → Bhimashankar (darshan) → Nashik • overnight Nashik
Day 2: Trimbakeshwar darshan → Grishneshwar (Ellora) • overnight Sambhajinagar
Day 3: → Omkareshwar (MP) • darshan • overnight Omkareshwar
Day 4: → Ujjain • Mahakaleshwar darshan • overnight Ujjain
Day 5: Optional Bhasma Aarti • Ujjain → Mumbai (overnight) • concludes
Day 1
Trimbakeshwar & Grishneshwar (Ellora)
230 km • Night Halt: Sambhajinagar (Night 2 of 4)
● Morning darshan at Trimbakeshwar, at the foot of Brahmagiri — the source of the Godavari.
● Drive to the Ellora region and darshan at Grishneshwar, the last of the twelve Jyotirlingas. (Not Nageshwar, which is in Dwarka, Gujarat.)
● Optional stop at the Ellora Caves nearby. Overnight in Sambhajinagar.
Day 2
Sambhajinagar → Omkareshwar (MP)
~400 km • long day • Night Halt: Omkareshwar (Night 3 of 4)
● A long drive north into Madhya Pradesh, via Dhule and Khandwa.
● Omkareshwar — a Jyotirlinga on the sacred Om-shaped Mandhata island in the Narmada.
● Evening darshan; if timing allows, the river aarti on the ghats.
● Overnight in Omkareshwar.
Day 3
Omkareshwar → Ujjain (Mahakaleshwar)
~135 km • 3 hrs • Night Halt: Ujjain (Night 4 of 4)
● Drive to Ujjain, the ancient city on the Shipra.
● Darshan at Mahakaleshwar — one of the most powerful Jyotirlingas, its lingam revered as swayambhu (self-manifested).
● Time at Ram Ghat and the old city in the evening.
● Overnight in Ujjain.
Optional — Mahakaleshwar Bhasma Aarti
The famous pre-dawn Bhasma Aarti (around 4 AM) can be arranged as an optional add-on. It requires advance booking and is subject to temple availability and rules — tell us at the time of booking so we can try to secure it. It is not included by default.
Day 4
Ujjain → Mumbai
~600 km • overnight return • End of Trip
● For those who've booked it, the pre-dawn Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar.
● After a final darshan, begin the long return drive to Mumbai (largely overnight).
● Trip concludes on arrival. Har Har Mahadev — safe travels onward.
Day 5
✓ Round-trip travel by AC bus / tempo traveller for the full circuit from Mumbai and back.
✓ Accommodation at shrine towns on sharing basis (comfort category, confirmed at booking).
✓ Daily breakfast and dinner (pure-veg) through the trip.
✓ Darshan coordination and assistance at each Jyotirlinga.
✓ A GoRaahi trip coordinator with the group throughout.
✓All tolls, parking, and driver charges.
Inclusions
✕ Mahakaleshwar Bhasma Aarti (optional, advance booking; not included by default).
✕ Any VIP / special-entry darshan, abhishek, or poojas beyond regular darshan.
✕ Entry fees for optional sites (e.g., Ellora Caves) and camera charges.
✕ Meals other than those specified; personal expenses, offerings, and tips.
✕ Any train / flight, or travel outside the group bus circuit.
✕Costs arising from roadblocks, weather, or force majeure; anything not under Inclusions.
Exclusions
● Carry a government photo ID for hotel check-in.
● Temple dress code applies — modest clothing; many shrines restrict phones, cameras, and leather inside.
● Darshan queue times vary greatly, especially on Shravan Mondays (Somwar); the coordinator will time visits to help.
● Distances and drive times are indicative and shift with traffic, roadwork, and monsoon conditions.
● This is a long-distance circuit; Days 1 and 3 are heavy transit days with early starts.
● For Mahakaleshwar Bhasma Aarti, confirm at booking — it needs advance arrangement and is subject to temple availability.
Good To Know
● Comfortable, modest cotton clothing suitable for temple visits.
● Easy slip-on footwear (you'll remove shoes often) plus a spare pair.
● A light rain jacket or umbrella if travelling in Shravan / monsoon.
● Small backpack, reusable water bottle, and hand sanitiser.
● Personal medication, and a cloth bag for prasad and offerings.
● Cash for offerings and small purchases; ATMs can be scarce at shrine towns.
