Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains what happens if you cancel a confirmed booking, or if GoRaahi Adventures cancels or changes a trip. All cancellations are subject to confirmation by our team. Approved refunds are processed within 7–15 working days, subject to bank and payment-gateway timelines.

How to cancel

You can request a cancellation from your account (My Account → your booking → Cancel trip) or by contacting us. Your refund is calculated from the number of whole days between your cancellation date and your trip's departure date.

Refund slabs

When you cancel, you can choose either a cash refund or GRCash travel credit you can use on a future GoRaahi trip. GRCash gives you more back than cash at every stage.

These percentages apply to the trip cost paid. Non-refundable components (below) are deducted before the refund is calculated. In every case, a minimum of 30% (cash) / 20% (GRCash) of the trip cost is retained.

Non-refundable components — domestic trips

• Airfare: where flight tickets have been booked for your trip, the airfare is non-refundable — no refund is issued against booked airfare.
• Train tickets: train fares follow IRCTC's cancellation rules as applicable on the date of cancellation; we pass on whatever IRCTC deducts.
• Permits: entry permits and area / inner-line permits are non-refundable once obtained.

Non-refundable components — international trips

• Airfare is non-refundable once booked. Flight rates are also subject to change until ticketing is confirmed.
• Visa fees are non-refundable.
• Tourist facilitation fees (e.g. tourism / city fees) are non-refundable.
• All permit fees are non-refundable.

If GoRaahi Adventures cancels or changes a trip

If a fixed departure does not meet the minimum group size, we may cancel it up to 8 hours before the start. In that case you can choose a full refund or a transfer to a later batch.

Force majeure (events beyond our control)

In the event of natural calamity, civil unrest, war, an act of God, or similar circumstances beyond our control, refunds depend on what we are able to recover from our suppliers (hotels, transporters, airlines, permit authorities, and others).

• Where costs can be recovered, the recoverable balance is offered to you as GRCash travel credit.
• If you request a monetary (cash) refund instead in such cases, a 25% charge on the trip cost applies.
• Where costs cannot be recovered from suppliers, no refund can be issued for the non-recoverable amount, and travellers bear those costs.

Costs you book independently

We are not liable for any incidental costs you book on your own — such as flights, connecting travel, or personal expenses — if a trip is changed or cancelled. We strongly recommend booking flexible tickets and taking travel insurance.

Transferring your booking

You may transfer your booking / slot to another person for a 20% surcharge, subject to our confirmation and availability.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed within 7–15 working days to your original payment method, subject to bank and payment-gateway timelines.
