Leh–Ladakh — Nubra & Pangong Bike Expedition

Ladakh the way it's meant to be met — from the saddle. Gather in Leh, acclimatise for two days, then ride north over Khardung La into the Nubra Valley's cold desert, and east across Chang La to the impossible blue of Pangong. A support vehicle, mechanic and oxygen run with the group throughout.

Day-wise itinerary

Day 1Arrive Leh — acclimatise & Leh sightseeing (Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Market)
Day 2Acclimatise — Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam (~110 km)
Day 3Leh to Nubra via Khardung La (~5,359 m); Hunder dunes; Turtuk if time permits (~125 km)
Day 4Nubra to Leh — Diskit Monastery, Shyok River viewpoint (~125 km)
Day 5Leh to Pangong via Chang La (~5,360 m); Shey Monastery; lakeside camp (~220 km)
Day 6Pangong to Leh — Maan village, Thiksey Monastery (~220 km)
Day 7Departure — hand back the motorcycle, transfer to Leh airport

What's included

  • Royal Enfield Meteor 350 for the ride, Leh to Leh (fuel & gear not included)
  • 6 nights' accommodation on triple-sharing (4 Leh, 1 Nubra, 1 Pangong)
  • Breakfast on Days 2-6, and dinner at the Nubra and Pangong stays
  • Backup support vehicle with mechanic and road captain
  • Oxygen cylinder and first-aid kit in the support vehicle
  • All inner-line permits for Nubra and Pangong
  • Airport pickup & drop at Leh on shared group slots

What's not included

  • Fuel for the motorcycle
  • Riding gear — helmet, jacket, gloves, knee guards (bring your own; helmet mandatory)
  • Meals other than the specified breakfasts and included dinners
  • Flights or any travel to and from Leh
  • Refundable motorcycle security deposit
  • Activity tickets — camel ride, bungee, monastery entries
  • Personal expenses, tips, and anything personal
